Informo a mi proveedor de hosting de una mala ruta
Llevaba unos meses padeciendo un RTT ligeramente más alto de lo normal a mi hosting, pasando de unos 30 a 40 ms. Ésta es la ruta que observé al hacer mtr:

Pasa por la red interna de mi proveedor de internet, Vodafone, después por Cable & Wireless (también propiedad de Vodafone), luego a Global IP Network (GIN) de NTT, y finalmente a as29169, el AS de mi proveedor de hosting en París, Gandi.
Lo curioso es la ruta entre NTT y Gandi: va de París, pasando por Frankfurt y Luxemburgo para finalmente… volver a París. En los nombres de NTT se observa la abreviatura ciudad-país: PARiS-FRance, FRaNKfurt-GErmany, LuXeMBourg-(igual Luxembourg City?).
Después de preguntar a soporte, me respondieron lo siguiente:

Mi ruta había cambiado. En lugar de NTT, pasaba por GTT, y un RTT de 30 ms:

El AS en rojo creo que no tiene nada de especial, creo que simplemente está seleccionado porque es el primero empezando por la izquierda. Por lo demás, vemos conexiones directas con los Tier -1 Cogent, Telia, GTT, Zayo, Colt… pero NTT Ltd. US (AS2914) aparece colgando de Acorus, y CW Vodafone Group Plc, EU (AS1273) de Cogent. No aparece la conexión directa entre NTT y Gandi que observaba en mi anterior MTR… no sé si es que antes existía y ahora la han eliminado… En cualquier caso, me da igual porque la ruta va directa a París con el RTT de 30 ms que tenía antes.
Bien por Gandi, hizo el cambio en sólo 1 día.
